Australian Unity names chief of staff, marketing leadBY KARREN VERGARA | WEDNESDAY, 26 AUG 2026 12:11PMAustralian Unity made two new senior hires, one of whom is the chief of staff while the other will lead the customer and marketing division. Antony Strong is the new chief of staff as well as general manager for strategy and alignment. Strong worked for more than 16 years at ANZ in senior roles, spending the final leg as the group executive of strategy and transformation. Before that, Strong spent nearly 12 years at Boston Consulting Group. Jee Moon is the new group executive for customer and marketing, bringing experience in data and artificial intelligence-led marketing to lead the division. She was previously chief marketing officer at Nuix, a provider of analytics and intelligence software, and vice president of marketing at American Express. "We're excited about these appointments and the strength they add to Australian Unity's leadership as we enter the next chapter of growth for Australia's first wellbeing company," Australian Unity said. The two hires join Balaji Gopal, who officially began leading the wealth and capital markets unit as chief executive and group executive on August 24. Gopal was the head of strategic growth, customer experience, digital and partnerships at Vanguard Investments Australia. He spent 10 years at Vanguard, working in senior capacities spanning investments, customer growth and distribution. Gopal replaced Adam Vise, who was in the role on an interim basis as Esther Kerr exited the group after more than eight years. Gopal's experience also covers portfolio construction, capital markets and product strategy at ANZ, NAB, SMS Management and Technology. Kerr joined Australian Unity as the group executive for finance and strategy, responsible for portfolio and impact, finance, treasury, investor relations, procurement, as well as mergers and acquisitions.
