ART overhaul sees senior portfolio managers exitBY ELIZABETH FRY | THURSDAY, 19 JUN 2025 2:34PMAustralian Retirement Trust's leadership overhaul has led to the departure of two senior portfolio managers. Ondre Ozer is set to leave ART as the country's second-largest superannuation fund moves to disband its investment resilience and planning division, of which he was a part. Ozer's boss, Jody Fitzgerald, who joined ART over a year ago as head of investment resilience and planning, will now oversee the fixed income unit as general manager of defensive liquid assets and portfolio intelligence. As part of the restructure, Andrew Fisher, who was head of investment strategy, has been renamed general manager of portfolio management and resilience. Before his nearly four-year tenure at ART, Ozer worked at Sunsuper, supporting the design, development, and implementation of models for the fund's investment functions. He also spent seven years at TCorp, most recently as head of liquid alternatives, where he managed selection and portfolio construction across multi-asset class funds, hedge funds, and alternative risk premia strategies. Ozer joined TCorp in 2011 from First Sentier, where he worked as an investment analyst to expand its alpha strategies team. He initially worked as an associate for Mercer Investment Consulting, specialising in investment analysis and advice. Meanwhile, also leaving is senior portfolio manager Andrew Morgan, who oversaw multi-asset class portfolios while crafting sophisticated global fixed interest strategies. His career includes eight years at QSuper Group, where he had a similar role. Before that, he spent over a decade as a director at QIC, where he successfully steered global fixed interest portfolios for 12 years. The two exits follows last week's departure of Julie Bingham, the chief enterprise services officer, and Helen Mills, the general manager of enterprise design as the super fund's move to to streamline its operations and restructure its leadership pick up pace. These departures follow the recent exits of Greg Barnes, head of public markets, and Herbert Chang, head of capital markets, whose roles have been farmed out to other executives. Elizabeth Kumaru, who runs private equity, will take on Barnes' responsibilities. Related News |
