Super moves: TCorp, ESSSuper, Funds SA, Team Super

TCorp has promoted Tim Dai to manager of infrastructure, real assets and private markets investments.

Dai previously served as a senior associate advising the New South Wales government on complex commercial transactions, leveraging his analytical skills to structure deals across various sectors.

His earlier experience includes a six-month stint as an investment analyst at Pacific National from August 2018 to January 2019, where he developed financial models, evaluated capital project proposals and assisted in preparing comprehensive reports for the board and investment review committee.

The role also involved collaboration on Pacific National's capital expenditure budget finalisation, providing Dai with practical experience in infrastructure investment evaluation.

Additionally, his background includes international taxation through his work as a transfer pricing consultant at EY, where he navigated the complexities of multinational business structures and cross-border tax compliance.
Meanwhile, ESSSuper has appointed Adam Swanwick as head of risk and compliance to enhance its governance capabilities.

Swanwick, previously a senior risk and compliance partner at TelstraSuper, has over two decades of experience in Australia's financial services industry, gaining experience in institutional asset management as well as public sector governance.Most recently, he served as the general manager of risk and compliance at MSC Group.

The governance specialist also worked at AIA Australia Limited and the Victorian Funds Management Corporation

Swanwick's career began in 2001 at the Financial Planning Association of Australia and included roles such as senior compliance manager at Asgard Wealth Solutions and Financial Planning Services Australia.

Finally, Team Super has farewelled its chief governance officer after five years.

Nicole Killen's extensive superannuation background spans both profit-to-member and retail sectors, holding executive positions in fund operations, administration management, business development and governance frameworks.

At Team Super, her responsibilities included comprehensive oversight of risk management and compliance functions, as well as secretariat management duties that ensured effective board governance.

I know that Team Super has a bright future and will continue to go from strength to strength," she said.Separately, Funds SA has strengthened its board with the appointment of Sarah Pearson as a non-executive director for a three-year term.

The $46 billion South Australian government-owned investment corporation has secured an experienced director with extensive global leadership credentials spanning FTSE 100 multinationals and international leadership positions in public and private sectors.

Pearson currently serves as chancellor at the University of New England while maintaining board positions, including the Foreign Investment Review Board and advisory roles with Impact Investment Exchange Asia.

Her portfolio includes membership of Main Sequence Ventures' investment committee and adjunct professorship at The University of Queensland, reflecting her broad expertise across investment, technology and academia.
