SS&C extends super fund partnership

Fire and Emergency Services Superannuation Fund (FES Super) has renewed its partnership with SS&C Technologies for administration services, as the software solutions provider aims to expand its involvement across the Australian super sector.

FES Super will continue to leverage SS&C Bluedoor, a cloud-hosted registry platform, to provide "real-time automation and straight-through processing" to streamline operations and improve members' experiences.

"SS&C's flexible, customisable tools and consistent service enable us to continue doing just that," FES Super fund secretary Adrian Rutter said.

"By leveraging Bluedoor's integration capabilities and cloud-native services, we can efficiently deliver to our members a modern, high-quality user experience," he said.

Meanwhile, SS&C head of GIDS Australia Shaun McKenna welcomed the extension of the "deep-rooted partnership".

"The fund has grown significantly since our initial engagement nearly 15 years ago. We look forward to working with the FES team to help deliver a superior member experience," McKenna said.

Additionally, SS&C will provide member digital and reporting services to the super fund.

FES Super is the superannuation fund for employees of the Western Australian Department of Fire and Emergency Services, the United Professional Firefighters Union of Western Australia and the Western Australian Volunteer Fire and Rescue Services Association.

It has close to $1 billion in funds under management on behalf of some 2500 members.
