Pinnacle ramps up distribution team

Pinnacle is expanding its distribution team with a new appointment from JCP Investment Partners.

Wes Campbell will be joining Pinnacle as director, distribution.

He was most recently executive director and head of business development at JCP Investment Partners, where he also served as a senior portfolio manager for a time.

Prior to JCP, Campbell was senior dealer at Jardine Fleming Capital Partners - part of JP Morgan Asset Management.

He also spent over two years at Macquarie Group earlier in his career.

Pinnacle executive director Andrew Chambers said:  "I'm thrilled that a senior executive of Wes's talent and experience is joining our rapidly expanding multi-affiliate business."

"Very rarely do you find a senior sales professional that has practitioner experience as a portfolio manager and dealer.

"Such a unique combination gives Wes a competitive edge in uncovering needs and identifying solutions with an increasingly sophisticated and rapidly evolving institutional investor base here in Australia and offshore.

"In addition, Wes' boutique investment experience gives him a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by independent firms in commercialising their vision."

Campbell said he looks forward to being a part of Pinnacle's growth.

"I am delighted to be joining Pinnacle at a time of such exciting growth. The Pinnacle business is one which I have admired for some time and I look forward to working with their affiliates to realise their full potential," he said.

"I equally look forward to working collaboratively with the institutional investor base to provide them with investment solutions."

Campbell will commence his new role on October 14 and will be based in Melbourne.
