IFM Investors chief of staff exitsBY JAMIE WILLIAMSON | MONDAY, 16 JUN 2025 12:47PMThe chief of staff at IFM Investors has departed after nine months in the role. Amara Haqqani was appointed as IFM Investors' inaugural chief of staff in September 2024. At the time, IFM Investors said she would be "supporting cross-organisational collaboration and output amongst the executive team." However, in a LinkedIn post on Friday, Haqqani announced she has left the role, describing it as "a tad too experimental." She said: "Chief of staff roles are often difficult to define, and I do think that they lend themselves more to some industries and organisations than others, but we did discover that IFM Investors... isn't really one of them." Financial Standard understands the chief of staff role is not to be replaced. "Amara has made a great contribution to IFM Investors during her time with us, and we wish her all the best for the future," a spokesperson said. Prior, Haqqani had been with Iress for six months. There, she held several roles including interim chief executive of wealth and chief product and operating officer for Asia Pacific. She's also previously worked as chief client strategy officer at Bennelong Funds Management, director of insights and strategy at Milliman, and senior manager, retirement income policy at Challenger.
