GAM Investments appointed a director for its institutional business in Australia who most recently held an executive role at Brookvine.
Alison Wallis will be responsible for business development and servicing the local institutional market and deepening relationships with clients. She reports to GAM's managing director for Australia Alex Zaika.
The appointment follows growing interest from Australian superannuation funds in GAM's product offering, including its GAM Systematic alternative risk premia and insurance-linked securities, which continue to see positive net flows, the fund manager said.
Wallis spent six years as a Brookvine director servicing institutional investors. She was formerly a client manager at Deutsche Bank/DWS, where she managed strategic relationships with clients and prospects for the firm's fixed income and equity products.

She also worked at Morningstar, initially on the graduate training program, before becoming an analyst on the fund research team, where she covered all asset classes.
Zaika commented: "Alison has an excellent reputation in the Australian market and brings a wealth of knowledge across asset classes."
"She will be a valuable addition to our team as we continue to expand our local offering for Australian clients and provide them with differentiated investment solutions," he added.
