A $2.5 trillion global fund manager is stepping up its distribution efforts in Australia.
Joining Capital Group Australia is Eliza Weaving. She has commenced as director, distribution and will be based in Melbourne.
It is a newly-created role and Weaving will be responsible for supporting Capital Group clients in Melbourne, as well as supporting the investment manager's wholesale business development team.
She will also further build client and adviser relationships for Capital Group in Australia's southern states.

Weaving is joining Capital Group from SG Hiscock and prior to that, Equity Trustees and Vanguard Australia, where she held similar roles.
Capital Group head of wholesale business, Jorden Brown said Weaving is a key hire for the firm.
"Her experience and energy will play a big role in doing this, in Melbourne and the other southern states. We welcome her on board," Brown said.
Capital Group manages more than US$1.8 trillion ($2.5tn) in assets for millions of investors globally.
