FPA shuffles CRC leadership

The Financial Planning Association of Australia has welcomed a new chair to lead its Conduct Review Commission.

The FPA has shuffled the leadership of its Conduct Review Commission, with former deputy chair Dale Boucher appointed chair at the beginning of the month.

Boucher - who conducted a review of the FPA's disciplinary regulations late last year - has also been appointed the role of Independent Code Administrator for the association's ASIC approved code, the FPA Professional Ongoing Fees Code.

Boucher replaces Graham McDonald, who has stepped down as chair (but will remain as deputy chair) due to family circumstances.

FPA chair Marisa Broome said both men remain committed to the CRC and upholding the standards required.

"We're delighted to welcome Dale as new chair," Broome said.

"The FPA's Code of Professional Conduct continues to play an important part in holding members accountable for misconduct, and provides significant benefits for consumer protection.

"We would like to thank Graham for his important contribution as chair of the CRC, and we're very happy that he's able to continue on in his new role as deputy chair."
