Exam marks for the first cohort of financial advisers to sit the FASEA exam are set to be released in the coming weeks.
The Financial Adviser Standards and Ethics Authority revealed it will release the results of June's inaugural FASEA exam by midway through August, after a "comprehensive marking approach and analysis."
The organisation has also extended the registration period for exams coming up in September, December and February 2020, giving advisers another chance to fit the exams into their end of year planning.
Additionally, FASEA has supplemented its metropolitan exam offerings, with new regional locations set to host exams sitting, subject to demand.
FASEA said at least two sitting days of exams would be available for advisers in September across Townsville, the Gold Coast, Cairns, Newcastle, Wollongong, Ballarat and Bunbury, with up to two sessions available each day.
The authority confirmed additional regional locations would also be added for the December and February sittings, a move chief executive Stephen Glenfield said was designed to make it easier for advisers to meet the education standard in time.
"We have been working closely with ACER and industry to expand the geographical and frequency of exam opportunities so as to optimise advisers' ability to sit the exam and help them comply with the education standard in 2021," Glenfield said.
