The Financial Industry Community Aid Program's 'Who Wants to be a Rockstar?' is returning for 2019, promising to be bigger than ever.
The FICAP 'Who Wants to be a Rockstar?' event is an annual fundraiser and singing competition in which finance professionals vie for the title of Rockstar of the Year.
Since launching in 2006, 'Who Wants to be a Rockstar?' has grown to be one of the most hotly anticipated events on the industry's social calendar.
More than 900 guests attended the 2018 event where in excess of $300,000 was raised. To date, the group has raised more than $1.7 million for various charities.
The funds raised this year will support Starlight Children's Foundation, Learning Links and Raise.
"In working with our charity partners, we know that kids who are shown good pathways, and steered towards an education and away from negative environments are much more likely to become more constructive participants in society (and by extension the economy)," FICAP organising committee founding member and BT Financial Group head of investment research and governance Marnie McLaren said.
"With 43 sponsors on board for this year's event, we are so humbled by the continuing support of our incredible FICAP community."
This year's sponsors include some of the biggest names in the industry like Challenger, AMP, Colonial First State, Count Financial Services, Ironbark Asset Management, Janus Henderson and MLC.
The 2019 FICAP 'Who Wants to be a Rockstar?' will be held on Thursday, 28 March in The Ivy Ballroom, Sydney.
