Challenger has hired a former institutional sales director from Robeco Australia, to distribute some private markets strategies.
Brett Penprase has joined Challenger as a senior institutional business development manager.
Penprase was among Robeco's first hires when it entered the Australian market in 2012.
He rose to its director of institutional sales before leaving in September last year.
At Challenger, he will undertake the institutional distribution of private markets funds, including Fidante's latest partnership with Ares Management.
Penprase has previously worked at Partners Group, and Zurich where he was the head of manager research for retail distribution.
Earlier this month, Challenger's head of retail sales left for a Melbourne boutique.
Vito D'Introno joined Yarra Capital Management as its inaugural chief commercial officer, after 12 years with Challenger.
