Cbus veteran moves to APRA

A superannuation industry veteran with over 20 years of experience working at Cbus has jumped to the regulator.

Angela Thurstans was head of governance (company secretary) and compliance at Cbus and is now risk specialist, governance at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority.

Before moving into the head of governance role, Thurstans spent over 18 years as executive manager of governance and risk at the fund.

Paul Woodburn is now head of legal, compliance and governance at Cbus. He previously worked as a lawyer for ASIC and as head of legal at UniSuper.

Jane Barrett is now company secretary and manager governance at the fund. She previously was in the role of public policy advisor.

Barrett has held roles at ESSSuper, the Department of Treasury and Finance Victoria and APRA previously.
