The $170 billion superannuation fund has named its regional head of US, as it gears up to open an office in New York.
Susan Alexander will lead the new office, the opening of which AustralianSuper has flagged previously.
Alexander is a long-time AustralianSuper employee, starting as its New South Wales manager in 2012 and is currently employed as its national manager of business partnerships, according to her LinkedIn.
She announced the appointment on her profile. AustralianSuper was not immediately available for comment.
The fund earlier announced plans to expand its London office to 50 staff over the next five years, in addition to establishing a New York office.
"AustralianSuper has seen the income earned for members from overseas grow strongly in the past five years as a result of strong returns across the portfolio as the amount of member's retirement savings invested globally doubled from $36 billion to $76 billion," chief investment officer Mark Delaney said at the time.
"[London expansion and new NY office are] as part of its increased focus on global markets - private and public."
Late last month, the fund moved Paul Schroder to the chief risk officer role and appointed Peter Curtis as the group executive, finance and operations.
