A specialist investment house tapped a Janus Henderson director of sales as its new distribution head.
Specialist fixed interest investment manager Bentham Asset Management appointed David Livera as its director of distribution in an effort to bolster the team as it move to add additional resources to support wholesale advisers in the coming months.
Livera joins Bentham from Janus Henderson, where he spent two years focused on the distribution of the $502.9 billion global giant's alternative and fixed interest funds.
Bentham chief investment officer Richard Quin said Livera would add to the firm's distribution capabilities, which currently includes three portfolio specialists and is fronted by associate director and senior portfolio specialist Daniel Conti.

"We respect David, and his experience will add to the depth we have within Bentham's distribution team," Quin said.
He reiterated the firm's belief that investors "need specialist support and education on credit," noting the asset class was a diversifying option which "provides superior investor protections relative to those of shares."
"Investors are grappling with trying to generate income in a very low interest rate environment. Global credit markets offer higher returns with a broad opportunity set with greater diversification and liquidity than the local market," he said.
