For a fund to be on a platform, it needs to have research to support it and adviser demand to warrant it being added. Who gave these funds research when the money was not being invested and how did the research provider not know this. Given these products were sold through a call center model and through only a few select and greedy advisers getting kickbacks, why did platforms add them?
