<p><p>There are plenty of things that young people should do to take care of their financial affairs. A budget planner is a good start, as are some simple high level rules:<br>
- sign a pre-nuptial agreement<br>
- pay off debt before saving - especially credit card debt<br>
- avoid getting into debt if you can<br>
etc</p>
<p>My personal favourite is 'start saving for your pension sooner rather than later' - and if you don't believe me, you can explore the impact of your pension saving decisions using an online calculator, and notice the impact of charges, of making larger contributions and delaying your retirement....</p>
