<p>Good lord! Your first sentence is incorrect! Please ensure you get your facts correct. Howard went to the 1998 election - the then called "referendum on the GST" - saying the GST would be introduced if elected. He was elected and the GST was introduced. How on earth you can say this is dishonest of Howard is just beyond the pale.</p>
