It is not only the American middle class that has lost ground, here workers have been subjected to alarming actions by their government that seem to be governed by no set plan. Salaries slashed in half, pensions disappearing, jobs that have no security or regular salary, where people work for an undetermined period without pay, and hope they will be paid at the end. The upper class has shown no leadership, in fact, seems to be in hiding. Untaxed money in Swiss bank accounts, enough, according to one statistic, to relieve the Greek national debt is not being pursued as possible relief. There are no Warren Buffets here! Average Greeks have no faith in a punitive bailout , as no attempt is being made on the part of the Greek government and the European Union to address the incredibly high unemployment rate. Syriza might win because the Greeks have nothing to lose. Its demand that there be a redistribution of wealth is no longer radical: it is being echoed universally.

Reply to article

For original story, Click Here.
