<p>When will the unions realise that the money in super is not theirs and they can't go around offering it to whoever wants it!<br>Despite this, I don't understand how a super fund could make a decent return from community housing. We all know that most people struggle to generate reasonable income from regular investment properties let alone those that are supposed to be cheaper to rent. That is unless the government is going to cough up the shortfall.<br>In terms of growth i guess these houses have as much chance as any other in the Australian market although if they are being built on the cheap and designed to remain affordable how could a large capital gain be derived?<br>If super funds were to supply development loans to the government these could be commercial but why wouldn't the government just issue some bonds?</p><p><a href="">Reply to article</a></p><p>For original story, <a href="">Click Here.</a></p>
