The Financial Standard Best Practice Forum on Exchange Traded Products (ETPs) Forum seeks to inform advisers and investment professionals about the benefits of using ETPs, which includes Listed Investment Companies, Listed Investment Trusts, mFunds, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and Active ETFs.

Financial Standard's Best Practice Forum on ETPs will be delivered as a video on demand series, accessible from 20 May 2020. The video series will be provided through the FS Aspire CPD platform for all registrants, and will be available indefinitely, so you can complete the content at a time that suits you.

Anthony Doyle has over 16 years' experience in global financial markets, working for some of the largest investment management firms in Australia, Europe, and the United Kingdom. In his current role, Anthony helps to position Fidelity's broad investment capabilities, strategy, market views and performance to clients. Prior to joining Fidelity International, Anthony worked at M&G Investments in London as Head of Investment Specialists. He has also worked at Pioneer Investments and Macquarie Bank as an economist.

Anthony holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of London, a Master of Economic Studies from the University of New England, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Macquarie University.

John Dyall has 20 years of experience working with clients on both the institutional side (large superannuation funds) and retail side of investment advice.

John is currently the head of investment research at Rainmaker Information. John has a Bachelor of Business in Economics and Finance from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University) and has been a CFA charterholder since 1998.

Andrew Weaver is the Senior Manager of the Investment Products team, responsible for on-boarding new ETFs, Exchange Traded Managed Funds, Listed Investment Companies and Trusts, Warrants, Australian Government Bonds and mFunds, the ASX's Managed Fund Settlement Service. He is also responsible for managing the exchange's relationship with the liquidity providers of these products. Andrew works closely with key industry stakeholders including issuers, ASIC, the FSC, and internal and external legal counsel on developing rules, procedures, policy and guidance for ASX Investment Products.

Andrew sits on the ASX/S&P Index Committee which is charged with maintaining the ASX/S&P equity indices.

Highlights from the 2019 ETF Forum

CPD Information

The Best Practice Forum on Exchange Traded Products (ETP Forum) is accredited by the Financial Planning Association (FPA) for CPD hours aligned to FASEA learning areas and ASIC Knowledge Requirements.

The 2020 ETP Forum has not yet been accredited by the FPA and the learning hours have not been confirmed. In 2019 the program was accredited by the FPA for 6 learning hours.

The Video On Demand series will be accessible to all existing FS Aspire CPD subscribers. For those you who aren't subscribers, once the series in live, registrants will be issued a free and private login to access the video content via FS Aspire CPD.

To be awarded CPD hours, you must watch any (or all) video and answer the related questions. You must pass the short quiz (five questions) in order to be awarded the CPD hours.

Once you have completed CPD content, you can access and download your CPD reports, in the FS Aspire CPD platform, as proof of completion.

Details surrounding the specific FASEA learning areas and ASIC Knowledge Requirements that will be covered over the course of the event will be listed here at least one week prior to the start of the event.
