Challenger Financial Standard Technical Services Forum

The Challenger Financial Standard Technical Services Forum will commence in April 2020, and will run four sessions in the year, one per quarter.

The forum is open to professionals including technical services experts, paraplanners, research, policy and advice specialists.

The Challenger Financial Standard Technical Services Forum will cover retirement income strategies, SMSF income streams, aged care and other leading industry issues.

This forum will be FPA accredited.

Alex Koodrin
Business Development Manager

Alex has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years. Most recently, he was National Technical Manager for CommInsure for 12 years until 2017. He has worked as a financial adviser, business banker and financial planning manager. In the 1980s Alex worked for 7 years for the US Government as a Russian translator and media analyst. In May 2018, he joined ClearView Life Assurance as a business development manager. As well as life insurance, Alex's special interests include business succession, key person and estate planning.

Andrew Lowe
Head of Technical Services

Andrew and the Challenger Tech Team are responsible for the development and delivery of technical content, tools and advice for advisers. Andrew's areas of interest include pre and post retirement planning, superannuation (including SMSFs), life insurance and the regulatory environment for the provision of financial advice. Andrew has more than 20 years technical experience including technical roles with AMP, ING and ANZ.  He is a member of a number of industry working groups and regularly liaises with Government across his areas of specialisation. Andrew has qualifications in Commerce, Financial Planning and Law.

CPD Information

The Challenger Financial Standard Technical Services Forum is accredited by the Financial Planning Association (FPA) for CPD hours aligned to FASEA learning areas and ASIC Knowledge Requirements.

The 2020 Challenger Financial Standard Technical Services Forum has not yet been accredited by the FPA and the learning hours have not been confirmed. In 2019 the program was accredited by the FPA for 2 learning hours per session.

If you are after additional professional development content or would like to access the CPD content from other Financial Standard Events check out Financial Standard's CPD program FS Aspire CPD

In order to claim CPD learning hours, attendees must remain for the entirety of the event and fill in an online evaluation available to them on the day.

A CPD certificate will be issued to all attendees who submit their evaluation within a week of attending the event. Membership to the FPA is not required to claim CPD learning hours.

 

Details surrounding the specific FASEA learning areas and ASIC Knowledge Requirements that will be covered over the course of the event will be listed here once the details become available.
