The Challenger Financial Standard Technical Services Forum will commence in April 2020, and will run four sessions in the year, one per quarter.

The forum is open to professionals including technical services experts, paraplanners, research, policy and advice specialists.

The Challenger Financial Standard Technical Services Forum will cover retirement income strategies, SMSF income streams, aged care and other leading industry issues.

This forum will be FPA accredited.

Melanie Dunn is a qualified actuary specialising in global retirement income systems. As Technical Services Manager - Retirement and Adviser Solutions at Challenger she has a focus on retirement modelling, calculator development and risk management. Melanie has a passion for using actuarial techniques to develop strategies and tools to assist with providing retirees with financial security and improving the standard of advice and retirement solutions to allow for uncertainty and risk. Her experience in SMSFs, superannuation and retirement has seen her develop into a thought leader and highly sought-after speaker with extensive knowledge of Australia's retirement system, best practices and legislation.

Claudine Siou has over 20 years of experience in the superannuation and financial services industry, including over 18 years in technical roles at ING, ANZ and IOOF.

Claudine has a Bachelor of Business (University of Technology Sydney) and has completed a Diploma in Law with the NSW Legal Professions Admissions Board.

CPD Information

The Challenger Financial Standard Technical Services Forum is accredited by the Financial Planning Association (FPA) for CPD hours aligned to FASEA learning areas and ASIC Knowledge Requirements.

The 2020 Challenger Financial Standard Technical Services Forum has not yet been accredited by the FPA and the learning hours have not been confirmed. In 2019 the program was accredited by the FPA for 2 learning hours per session.

If you are after additional professional development content or would like to access the CPD content from other Financial Standard Events check out Financial Standard's CPD program FS Aspire CPD

In order to claim CPD learning hours, attendees must remain for the entirety of the event and fill in an online evaluation available to them on the day.

A CPD certificate will be issued to all attendees who submit their evaluation within a week of attending the event. Membership to the FPA is not required to claim CPD learning hours.

 

Details surrounding the specific FASEA learning areas and ASIC Knowledge Requirements that will be covered over the course of the event will be listed here once the details become available.
