First State Super has changed the name of three of its pre-mixed investment options in a bid to better describe and reflect each broad investment objective.
The $52 billion fund has renamed its diversified, balanced, and capital guarded pre-mix investment options as growth, balanced growth, and conservative growth respectively.
A First State Super spokesman said the decision was based around having "more consistency between the naming conventions within our investment options."
He added the new names also provide a more useful description to "help ensure members choose the most appropriate investment option." It also provides "better alignment with other super funds to enable members to make an easier comparison."
First State Super's diversified (growth) pre-mix investment option is also its MySuper option for members up to and including 59 years of age.
As at 31 December 2015, the diversified (growth) option had an asset allocation in line with MySuper asset weighted averages, according to Rainmaker.
First State Super's diversified (growth) investment option asset allocation:
- Australian equities (26%)
- International equities (30%)
- Alternatives - other (24%)
- Fixed Income (10%)
- Cash (10%)
