Independent automated investment adviser Ignition Wealth has appointed an industry veteran to chair its investment committee.

Henry Capra has held senior executive roles at a range of top tier global financial institutions including J.P. Morgan, Blackrock Investment Management Australia, BNP Paribas Asset Management Australia, AMP Capital Investors and Colonial First State Investment.

He now joins Ignition as chair of the investment committee, and as a member of the Ignition Wealth Advisory Board.

Capra adds these roles to his current duties as non-executive director and member of the audit committee at Suncorp Portfolio Services, non-executive director and adviser at Millinium Capital Managers, and non-executive director and chair of finance and audit committee for Autism Spectrum Australia.

"It's very exciting to have joined Ignition Wealth at a time when the company is gaining significant traction with distribution partners. I'm looking forward to being part of the next generation of financial advice," Capra said.

"With a long history in financial services including roles in finance, technology and operations, I am looking forward to contributing to the growth of Ignition Wealth, using my experience in the industry."

The industry veteran will support chief executive Mark Fordree, chief technology officer Mike Giles, chairman Peter Meurer, advisory board member Tom Pockett and a dozen senior staff in the company's North Sydney offices.
