The head of alternative investments at ANZ Wealth will leave the company tomorrow.
Simon Ford has managed ANZ Wealth's real estate, hedge funds, private equity, infrastructure, credit, commodities and insurance investments for six years, having joined in 2009.
Prior to that, he held numerous roles at Credit Suisse for nearly 20 years, most recently as head of alternative investments from 2006 to 2009.
He was also head of futures sales at J.P. Morgan and a futures trader and broker at Mercantile House Group, Sydney Futures Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade.
Ford's departure occurs alongside ANZ's announcement that it is simplifying its Global Wealth business, which will see ANZ Private Bank reporting to ANZ group executive Australia Fred Ohlsson and distribution (including ANZ Financial Planning) moving under retail distribution and reporting to managing director, retail distribution Catriona Noble.
Insurance, superannuation and investments businesses in Australia will be consolidated into a new division called Australia Wealth.
