Colonial First State (CFS) has launched a new mobile app on both Apple and Android devices that aims to cut down the time financial advisers spend on administration.
The initial app release allows advisers who use CFS platforms to have free access to FirstTech content on smartphones or tablets, and additional features will be built in.
CFS head of retail sales Rick Di Cristoforo said with the FirstTech app now available, financial advisers "will have fast and convenient access to the latest rates and thresholds in relation to income tax, superannuation, income streams, social security and aged care."
"It is part of CFS' commitment to provide advisers with tools and functionality that allows them to spend less time on administration and more time delivering quality advice to clients," Di Cristoforo said.
FirstTech will push updates to the app automatically, meaning information is "dependably live and current."
"CFS is also committed to regularly adding more functionality and features to the app," Di Cristoforo said.
FirstTech was named the best technical services support team in the Wealth Insights Fund Manager Service and Platform Service survey for seven consecutive years from 2008 to 2015.
It is often said by equity managers with a mandate to scour the entire globe for investment ideas that getting the geographic allocation right in any given year is the most important driver of returns.
