Advice GM leaves ANZ

ANZ's general manager advice and open market channels has announced he will leave the bank to pursue other opportunities.

Neil Younger took the advice reins at ANZ in 2014 following the departure of Paul Barrett, who has since formed AZ Next Generation Advisory. Younger was responsible for the operations of ANZ Financial Planning and all aligned dealer groups.

Prior to ANZ, Younger was the general manager of Commonwealth Financial Planning. He held a similar role at BT Financial Group before that, and has also held senior positions at Securitor and AMP.

Commenting on his departure, an ANZ spokesperson said, "Neil left ANZ on Monday 8 February. Neil has decided that this was personally the right time for him to pursue other interests."

"Gavin Pearce will step into the role of managing director advice and open markets, in addition to his current role, while a replacement is found. ANZ Wealth's strategy for advice and distribution remains the same and will continue unchanged under Gavin's leadership."
