Advisers prefer the netwealth investment platform in terms of full functionality, according to Investment Trends research.
Investment Trends' December 2015 Platform Report analysed 506 "key characteristics" of 22 master trust and wrap platforms, which were then compared to the adviser preferences identified in the researcher's regular Planner Technology reports.
After netwealth, the next highest-rated platforms were Colonial First State FirstWrap, HUB24, Asgard eWRAP and MLC Wrap & Navigator.
According to the report, the common preferences expressed by advisers were usability and efficiency improvements and customer support.
"With the aim of improving adviser efficiency and providing greater transparency, the platform industry saw continued focus on enhancing and refreshing platform portals," Investment Trends senior analyst King Loong Choi said.
Choi added, "We have continued to see platforms provide advisers support from new angles rather than just the traditional 'how to use the platform better' guides.
"Key areas of focus include providing strategies which advisers can use to enhance their businesses, and the ability for advisers to easily share research/education with clients to help lift their engagement."
With an 8-14% per annum return objective over the long term, the Pengana PanAgora Absolute Return Global Equities Fund is clearly managed by a team with investment acumen and a well thought out process.
