OC Funds unveils distribution strategy, appoints Purpura
Monday, 16 August 2010 1:15pm
By Elise Burgess  |  In Executive Appointments

OC Funds Management has appointed Peter Purpura, former managing director of Fisher Graham Financial, as its head of retail distribution, who will head a more aggressive distribution strategy for the firm.

In addition to his former position at Fisher Graham Financial, Purpura also held previous key roles as former Director of Patriot Asset Management, and senior positions at Equity Trustees Funds Management, Challenger Financial Services Group and AXA Trustees.

During this time, he was responsible for the development of extensive distribution networks across the advisory, institutional and high net worth segments of the market. He also has experience developing funds on both a domestic and international scale.

"I'm here to get the distribution side started up and running to its highest standard," said Purpura, when speaking about his role at OC Funds.

Part of Purpura's role in the coming months for OC Funds Management will involve the execution of the company's distribution footprint.

"Basically, what we plan to do is to roll out the distribution footprint to dealer groups and financial planners. We are seeking mandates from interested parties so there will be a lot happening on that front," he said.

OC Funds is a privately owned Australian equity specialist that offers four managed funds specialising in Premium, Concentrated, Dynamic, 200 funds and now separate managed accounts (SMAs).

It has been a busy time for the firm as it recently acquired Patriot Managed Accounts Pty Ltd to expand its operations, adding a focus to the management of Australian share portfolios or individually managed accounts (IMAs) for wholesale investors.

The acquisition was strategically designed to expand and further enhance the investment capabilities of OC Fund Management's current four equity funds into the Individual Managed Accounts and Separately Management Accounts, the group said.
