The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia has appointed Greg Healy, director of AMP Corporate Superannuation, as the new Chair of the Board.
Healy has been elected to succeed Rosemary Vilgan.
Healy was previously Chair of the ASFA Admin and Finance committee. He has served on the ASFA Board since 2001.
"This is an important role, as the Board provides overall governance of the ASFA organisation," outgoing ASFA Chair, Rosemary Vilgan said. "ASFA, like any other organisation in the current environment, needs strong, strategic leadership."
Ian Silk, chief executive of AustralianSuper, has been re-elected to the Chair of the Policy Committee, which comprises all Board members and sets the strategic advocacy and policy direction for ASFA.
The Board also re-elected Michele Dolin as Chair of the Member Services committee and elected Roslyn Ramwell as Chair of the Admin and Finance Committee.
Vilgan will remain an ASFA Board member. ASFA also appointed a new board member, Janet Torney, chief executive of Qantas Super. Torney filled the corporate vacancy left by Terry McCredden.
