Guild Group appointed Mercer to provide administration and member services across GuildSuper, GuildPension and the Australian Child Care Superannuation Fund.
Mercer started providing administration, call centre and online services to the group's members and employees at the beginning of July.
Peter Simpson, Guild Financial Services general manager, said the group chose Mercer inline with its strategy to provide a higher level of service for members and employers.
"The move positions us to be an industry leader in customer service," said Simpson.
David Anderson, head of Mercer Wealth Solutions, said Guild Group's appointment and the also being selected by two other industry plans indicated the firm's arrival in the industry plan outsourcing segment.
"We now have a number of industry plan clients and we are well and truly open for business in this space," he said.
The steady flow of super funds reviewing and changing administrators reflected competition for members in the market.
"Delayed aftershocks of choice of fund and trustee licensing were being felt in the Australian superannuation industry," he said.
"There is a flight to quality occurring as the screws of competition and regulatory compliance continue to turn on superannuation providers."
