AMP Capital has appointed Ross Andrews as environmental sustainable governance research associate, as it looks to expand the research more broadly across investment strategies.
Andrews is responsible for assisting in determining how AMP Capital votes, on behalf of the company and its clients, at all meetings of Australian and global companies held by AMP Capital funds, including global listed property, global listed infrastructure, Asian equities and global resources funds.
He will also assist in AMP Capital's Environmental Sustainable Governance (ESG) analysis of corporate and sovereign bonds and international analysis of ESG issues and sustainability drivers for a number of sectors.
Andrews has worked with consultants KPMG and PWC in the area of sustainability in Australia and South Africa.
He has also worked as an environmental consultant in South Africa and Mozambique, primarily in the mining and energy sectors.
Andrews started at the company on Monday 23 April 2012, and reports to AMP Capital's head of ESG research Dr Ian Woods.
