CommInsure has appointed Unified Healthcare Group as its medical information service partner for a four year period.
Unified Healthcare Group (UHG) said it provides life insurance clients with a number of customised solutions including improving the claims process, a complete new business solution for group risk insurance products, and a one-stop solution for all suspense requirements for new business.

"We are excited to be able to assist CommInsure to deliver improved service to their advisers, industry funds and customers," said UHG managing director, Dr Brandon Carp.
"Since we started our medical report retrieval service in 2002 we have introduced game changing innovations in underwriting and we are now turning our minds to the claims process which we all recognize as the moment of truth."
UHG's latest development medEbridge, a secure technology platform for taking medical information from GP's practice management systems, would also help speed up insurance claims.
"medEbridge, supported by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, will revolutionise the way insurance companies and doctors communicate, allowing rapid and secure electronic transfer of patient information, which will help speed up insurance application and claim processes even further," said Carp.
CommInsure is the specialist insurance arm of the Commonwealth Bank Group with an inforce risk book of over $1.6 billion.
