A specialist risk advice group has partnered with a third party life insurance claims administrator to launch a claims handling service for policyholders.
Australian Financial Risk Management (AFRM) and Gallagher Bassett (GB) unveiled AFRM Claims Advocacy (ACA), which is designed to act on policyholders' behalf while attempting to improve financial outcomes for insurers and superannuation fund trustees.
ACA will provide personalised support for policyholders currently lacking claims advice. Clients are given a personal claims advocate who provides ongoing support and advice throughout the claims process.
ACA founding director Rob Vitnell said: "There's never been a more important time to innovate and embrace this changing landscape, by delivering customer service, transparency and customer-centric claims management."
GB managing director John McNamara added: "We get involved with the claim early to improve the customer experience and ensure that only valid claims go to the insurer."
"We're proud to be aligned with such an innovative service that can provide improved claims management outcomes to the life insurance sector," McNamara said.
