Thomas Hancock Assoc to launch outplacement arm

Sydney-based boutique recruiter Thomas Hancock Associates has set up a new outplacement service specialising in the financial markets, funds management and superannuation sector.
The executive recruitment firm, which has specialised in the industry for over 30 years has set up the new arm for middle and senior executives.
"I've been through three cycles like this before and I think it's important to provide this service because of what's happening now," said the firm's founder Thomas Hancock.
"In the past, I have been astounded by individuals who have come fresh from an outplacement service, with the false expectations that they can change their career in the middle of a depressed market."
"A key differentiation of this service will be that individuals will receive a very realistic market view enabling them to best target job opportunities," he added.
