
S&P recognises industry best

BT Financial Group, Zurich Investment Management and Greencape Capital were among the winners of this year's Standard & Poor's Fund Awards.
The research and ratings firm awarded BT Financial Group Fund Manager of the Year, Greencape Capital as the Emerging Manager of the Year and Zurich Investment Management as Product Distributor of the Year.
Jeff Mitchell, Standard & Poor's director of the fund services team, said BT Financial Group won the award for its established team and the changes it made to its business structure.
The awards also recognised the best across all investment sectors. Invesco Australia picked up the Australian Equities - Small Cap award and again, BT Investment Management won the Australian equities - large cap category.
Walter Scott & Partners won the international equities - developed markets category and Schroder Investment Management took out the International Equities - Emerging Markets sector award.
Meanwhile, AXA Australia won the Australian Mortgages category, PIMCO won the Fixed Interest sector award and ING Clarion Real Estate Securities took out the listed property category.
Standard & Poor's also recognised BlackRock Investment Managers in the alternative strategies category and JP Morgan Investments Australia in the structured products sector.
