IAG and NRMA Superannuation Plan have signed up as new clients to Mercer's superannuation outsourcing business.
Under the five year deal, Mercer will provide both funds with superannuation administration, helpline and online services.
Troy Maguire, superannuation manager for the Plan, said the move was to introduce greater transparency and ease of access to superannuation.
"In an increasingly complex environment, the Plan has to evolve with member expectations and empower them to take control of their superannuation," he said.
David Anderson, business leader of Mercer's outsourcing business for Asia Pacific, observed the battle for market share was as intense as ever. Innovation and quality have become core buying requirements of trustees and employers.
"IAG and NRMA are leading the increasing number of corporate superannuation plans who want to reduce the burden and risk of operating their own plan, while increasing the competitiveness for the ultimate benefit of their members."
For example, under the new outsourcing arrangement, IAG and NRMA Super Plan trustees can offer members with better daily unit pricing admin.
