Link Group named the new chief executive for its Link Fund Solutions business.
Most recently, Paul Khoury was head of global services for Australia and New Zealand at State Street. He previously held three other State Street roles: Asia Pacific head of asset manager sector sales, chief operating officer and head of product services.
Before State Street, Khoury was director of investment operations at Focus Investment Management, head of research and statistics at the Investment Funds Association of Australia and an actuarial consultant at MIRA Consultants.
Khoury said: "I'm delighted to be joining Link with its enviable track record of growing successful businesses by being client focused and investing in the right technology and people."
"This opportunity provides me an excellent platform to leverage my industry knowledge to enable Link to drive change and shape the funds landscape in Australia," he said.
Link's corporate markets chief executive, Paul Gardiner, added: "Paul's strong background in successfully delivering for clients is an excellent fit with our expanding global network."
"Our acquisition of the Link Funds Solutions business in the UK and Europe from Capita in late 2017, combined with Link Group's strong financial position will give Paul an enviable foundation to deliver services as we continue the organic growth of our Australian client base," Gardiner said.
Link also provided a market update as to the potential effects of the superannuation legislative changes outlined in the 2018 Budget, saying that if the sweep date were 30 April 2018, the estimated revenue impact to Link would be about $55 million.
As this is not the case, though, Link does not anticipate any impacts before FY2020.
