IRESS to support boutique firm

A new partnership will see IRESS provide portfolio management systems to a boutique investment manager.

Acorn Capital will use the IRESS Portfolio System (IPS), selecting it for the efficiencies provided by its integrated portfolio management and trading capability, strong compliance focus and dedicated local support team.

IRESS managing director of financial markets for Australia and New Zealand, Kirsty Gross, said the company is pleased to expand its relationship with Acorn Capital.

"Acorn Capital's extension of its existing IRESS relationship reflects our strategy of providing a range of services to Australian fund managers. It highlights a growing trend for fund managers to choose solutions that are integrated, deliver business efficiency and meet compliance needs," Gross said.

Acorn Capital was founded in 1998 and seeks to manage microcap portfolios based on structured fundamental investment analysis; makes full use of team expertise; and is professionally and academically rigorous.
