Fortnum recruits former Centric Wealth chief

Fortnum Private Wealth is welcoming a former chief executive of Centric Wealth to its ranks.

Glen Castensen joins in an executive position reporting directly to Fortnum managing director Neil Younger. He was most recently a financial services consultant, having stepped down from the Centric joint-chief executive role in 2010.

Before Centric Wealth, Castensen was group managing director of private wealth advisory firm Berkley Group and head of broking investment services at Godfrey Pembroke.

Castensen said: "It's wonderful to be part of such a dynamic and aligned team. I strongly believe there has never been a more important time for consumers or greater value placed by advisers on the need to have an unbiased environment for them to receive and offer financial services."

"I joined Fortnum with that very much in mind and look forward to working with their planners, existing and future - over the years to come," Castensen said.

Younger added: "We are excited to have such a well-respected, experienced executive on board to support Fortnum's growth initiatives and also work closely with our advisers to drive growth in their underlying businesses."

"Glen's deep knowledge and understanding of the advice industry and his experience in building advice capabilities will be very valuable to Fortnum practices and principals," Younger said.
