As part of expanding its in-house investment capability, a $41 billion industry super fund is welcoming three senior appointments to its investment team.
Former head of portfolio management at NAB, Patricia Lindenboim, is joining Cbus as head of strategy and investment innovation in the Sydney office.
Lindenboim will work across the whole Investments team to develop strategic and innovative initiatives. She brings domestic and international experience in strategy development and financial services with roles at Macquarie Group, A.T. Kearney and McKinsey & Co.
Elizabeth Weston is also joining Cbus in a new investments team role as head of legal and governance, based in Melbourne. She has experience across asset management in Australia and the UK, having held senior legal and compliance positions at River and Mercantile Group, Morgan Stanley Investment Management and Merrill Lynch.
The third appointment sees Sanjay Magotra join as portfolio manager, equities in the public markets team in Melbourne. With experience as an equities analyst and portfolio manager in the US and Australian markets, Magotra's most recent role was a portfolio manager at Integrity Investment Management. He will be responsible for undertaking company and sector research across Australian equities.

Cbus chief investment officer Kristian Fok said the fund is pleased to be welcoming more experience into the team.

"[Patricia, Elizabeth and Sanjay] are high calibre individuals who bring an extensive range of experience to Cbus across their individual areas and will add significant value to our existing team."
In July, Cbus chief executive David Atkin said he expects the fund to double in size within the next five to six years, backed by a strong internal team.
