Our intention is to deliver quality services to the members and their businesses. In 1946 a number of life insurance advisers formed the Life Underwriters' Association of Australia and New Zealand. This then became the Life Underwriters Association of Australia (LUA), and later, the Australian Lifewriters Association. In 1997 the name was changed to Association of Financial Advisers Ltd to reflect the changing job of a financial adviser, in the emerging comprehensive financial services industry.
