"policy implications are that 'fund members... benefit from consolidation in the not-for-profit sector'", YET there appear to be no policy implications stemming from the noted dysfunctionality in retail funds, whereby fee %s rise as FUM grows. This is odd, given most retail funds use in-house managers, is it not? Maybe an "if no scale benefits to members, why no scale benefits to members?" question needs to be asked.

Reply to article

For original story, Click Here.

In my space Diversified Income, the larger funds are struggling badly and are sigfnificant underachievers. To say in general large funds outperform is a misnomer. Once again I would love to see the data source because on the funds that I manage and or sit as an investment adviser on a committee the larger players are not getting close to their benchmarks nor can some of them provide an actual return which is staggering.

Reply to article

For original story, Click Here.
